2008 server core
which OS is best for my PC?
I have a Q6600 Quad Core, 6 GB RAM, 700 GB hard drive (2 drives), NVIDIA 8400gt video card, a ViXS TV Tuner ATSC. (GM5638E Gateway) is a desktop not a laptop. My options are: Windows Vista 64-bit Windows XP 64-bit Windows server 2008 I want my computer run as fast as possible. I use mainly for programming in Java and NET as well as editing for video / photo and games video. By Please when you reply to say why you say. Thank you very much.
Well your question is interesting and difficult to deal with the information you have given us. You have amazing processor, but it is good to 64-bit applications developed yet, except perhaps for gaming applications. To the best of my knowledge, only Apple has a strong group of 64-bit applications and photo editing with all the drivers started.
