Security project ideas?
We have approx $7,000 in the budget for improvingadding to our IT security. What would you request for additional tools for added security? Without too much detail we run a Watchguard hardware firewall and ISA Server.
I was kind of leaning towards a IDS (intrusion detection system). I have read about people using Snort on a Linux platform but have read it is pretty complicated and not easily logged and monitored.

Definitely set up Snort on your network. It's pretty much a "must have" for IDS. Get to know it.
