Why are dedicated servers so important for multiplayer online games?
I recently saw a lot of pc gamers angry over Infinity Ward's decision to not have any dedicated servers for the pc version of Modern Warfare 2 but I don't really understand why.
Because a dedicated server has much less lag then a normal server where someone can play on it. Its just a computer and a server sitting there providing the best gameplay and little lag.
