Building a resume Need HELP! Career objective in the food and beverage industry!?
Hi I am intersted in becoming a cocktail waitress so i can possibly move up to a bartender. I hear this is the best way. I have only a years experience as a server. but i have had many jobs in being a cashier. Please i need examples or help on a career objective for this interest. Another question is is Do i have to list every single job i
ve ever had onto my resume or do i just list the ones i have experience in? please help i've never done one before.
Okay, yes and no. I am thinking you are a young person whom has had many jobs. I have worked in human resources for years and yes we look at the person work history. If you are 25 years or younger and have had 10 or more jobs to the employer that tells them that you probably will not stay long with their company.
Also, once you receive your experience and build a good repore before after you give two weeks notice ask your present employer to provide you in writing a letter of recommendation. If you leave the company and try to request that letter most likely you will not receive it.
However, if you are in the restaurant business there are folks whom move from one place to another that is expected. So, should you put every single job on your resume? Only for the past 10 years an employer should receive and if you have left on a bad note then do not put that company down. Do not have any gaps in your employment, meaning if you were unemployed for sometime say that on your resume. Let me provide an example:
Your Name
