server addresses DNS server again addresses dont work?
When swich off the computer and restart the DNS settings back to some addresses that are not. If I manually enter the correct address, ie 192. 168. 1. 254, then the work. I tried to "wash DNS window command, but returns saying he is incapable of color. It seems that something prevents the registration of this. Any help would be appreciated. Although I Leave it set to use the DNS server will be preferred, however, even after restarting, but if I can "get the addresses DNS servers automatically "which seems to find addresses that dont work

I want to create a website for my club. I have classroom experience with ASP.NET, html, css, Javascript and the like of web languages.
I want to develop the webpage so it can be updated by non-techies without the direct hand of the developer, me. I also don't have a server to host this yet so I can't use a database.
Here is the question:
Without a database, can I create a webpage control that can update the contents of the page such as news update as long as I determine ahead of time the styles and html code to generate using a function.
1. I want the user to be able to just type in the text of the news update
2. I could create a javascript function to generate the html.
The real Question
3. But how can I permanently save the changes to the webpage and publish it.
I am confused.
You can use JavaScript to retrieve the data from a form and temporarily add that data to the page, but JavaScript code works on the user's computer. It cannot save data permanently. If you want to make permanent changes to a web site, you'll need some sort of server-side programming language. You don't necessarily need a relational database system, but you'll probably want one eventually.
What you're doing here is inventing the content managment system. While you can certainly do this, it might make more sense to use one that's already been written and modify it for your own use.
If you want to do this on your own, you can look at my examples here:
