enterprise server monitoring
Can lan chat messenger be monitored?
I am studying in an engg college(i dont wish to specify the colg name). In our college we have wi-fi connectivity in our hostels. Our college system administrators use Admin-Magic software for monitoring and Sonic Firewall for filtering and firewall purposes.. In our colg, yahoo msngr, gtalk and all messengers have been blocked. But we use Lan messengers such as Softros, Lan chat enterprise etc. these messengers dont need any internet connectivity but Lan connectivity. so in this case when we guyz use softros for chatting, will the college system administrators able to monitor us and our software. Will there be any log files stored in the college server while using this software. Another point is that these softwares dont contact the proxy server and i hope our software uses a peer-to-peer architecture. so can the administrators monitor us...pls reply with a clear answer...
