MS Windows 2008 64Bit Server with 32bit XP, W7 workstations?

Hi,

I have planned to add a MS Windows 2008 64bit server into an otherwise work-group type network of XP and Windows 7 32 bit work stations.

This is going to be the first and only file/print server with MS SQL database.
Should the 32bit workstations face trouble in accessing 64bit server, and the sql database on it?
Or, should i go for 64bit operating systems on work stations also? Will my existing 32 bit applications work on the 64 bit workstations in that case?

I know it is whole lot of questions. Can some one point me to correct direction. Thank you.

There will be absolutely no problem. At my company we have so many servers, most of them being x64 while all our clients still run x86.
Windows 2008 and Win7 x64 have very good compatibility with 32bit applikations. So I think you already are going in the right direction.
