2008 server activation
why does this server shutdown?
I have a built a machine with the following specs
asus p5nsli
vga pci vid card
a pci nic
a sata hdd
and its OS is server 2008
now I have it all hooked up to the screen and the keyboard and mouse
just to configure some settings
then I unplugged screen (vga 15 bin)and keyboard and mouse
it was running for a few hours I was able to see it on the network
but it shut down on its own
so why did it shut down (BY the way windows server is not activated yet )
and when I power it up
I see the black background and ms message (genuine and activate )
I was wondering if the activation got any thing to do with the shutdown
or is it that some of my hard ware has a problem
(the same hard ware are running fin on other machine with different operating system )

If its every two hours then yes you need to activate!
