What is the Best Linux Version for me?
I need to start a server with Linux. I am trying to convert a Windows Xp to Linux. I need it for a beginner so it can be learned easily. I also need it to be customised for a server. Lastly I need a free program, online or program based, that can have unattended remote access to the Linux computer as it is a server. It needs to work Windows to Linux. Thanks

It needs to be free, and the program for unattended access has to be easy to install on Linux as I know nothing on Linux. If possible, if there any distributions that are tweaked for server use. An I do not want to partition the harddrive I want full Linux.
I ALSO NEED A GUI, If it can be turned off when not in use that would be great, but ok if not possible. Thanks

You are asking for a bunch of stuff that would make a network administrator cry. Servers are never meant to be turned off, you have to pay for Linux server licenses, and the best way to run a server (especially Linux) is using CLI.
But if you want to learn how to use Linux, download virtualbox, which is free, and install a free distro of Ubuntu or Fedora on in. Play around with it and get used to it.
