monitor server health
health monitoring in Weblogic 9.1?

I wanted to know whether it is possible to have some kind health monitoring mechanism in Weblogic 9.1 , wherein if a managed server is down then a mail can be sent to concerned person to look into it ?
Yes, you can. There is a diagnostics config where you can set either a JMX-based, JMS-based, SNMP-based or SMTP-based notification, which essentially is a trigger set at a certain threshold that issues a notification whenever it's fired. The type of notification is dependent on the services you register with your server, but they're all defined in a single config file "DIAG_MODULE.xml". Have a look here:
