why not a cenralised server to store all pc users data/information on rental basis and avoid hard disk?
some body can start a centralised server company to store each pc's data on rental basis and the individual can retrieve it as we read our email from the mail box so that hard disk free computers can be evolved or minimum local storage and the remaining in a rented space away from the work place/home
like bank's locker system

That's been thrown around...
It's not viable; HD space is really cheap, you don't want someone else to hold your secrets, and you couldn't be sure the connect is 100% stable.
Oh, and one error will destroy all users' files, not just one...
