Dell Server upGrade?

just took delivery of a Dell poweredge 2400 Server and I want to know what the logical order of Upgrade steps should be. It's slow and noisey but I can live with it for now! Here are the current stats on it:

Operating System System Model
Windows 2000 Server, Small Business Server Restricted Service Pack 4 (build 2195) Dell Computer Corporation poweredge 2400/600

Enclosure Type: Mini-Tower
Processor a Main Circuit Board b
600 megahertz Intel Pentium III
32 kilobyte primary memory cache
256 kilobyte secondary memory cache Bus Clock: 100 megahertz
BIOS: Dell Computer Corporation A02 01/04/2000
Drives Memory Modules c,d
18.20 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity
14.60 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space

NEC CD-ROM DRIVE:466 SCSI CdRom Device
3.5" format removeable media [Floppy drive]
ARCHIVE Python 06408-XXX SCSI Sequential Device [Tape drive]

DELL Container SCSI Disk Device (18.19 GB) -- drive 0 512 Megabytes Installed Memory

Well, that really depends on what you do with it. If your looking to get something that will last you a while, the things you should be looking for in a server are:

1) A dual core (or quad core) processor. These processors will really speed the computer up in a server environment

2) At *least* 1024 megs of ram (a gigabyte). You may even want to go with two.

3) A Raid array, depending on the type of array they set up, not only does it provide data security it may also provide you with faster hard disk speeds.

Good luck!
